In a time when the message that is instilled and embedded in us is to seek only personal success, it is quite easy to forget what those exquisite elements actually mean in life. A good person is not a saint but a person who makes efforts to be a good human being, including being a person of integrity, who has the feelings of others in mind and who is gentle and kind to oneself and others. 1. Practice Empathy

Empathy is actually the main element of goodness. 8. Practice Forgiveness

Forgiving others, and a healthful self-forgiveness, is a crucial recipe for personal well-being and strong romantic relationships. The passion for grudges generates negative energy, while forgiveness guarantees inner peace and emotional freedom.

Let Go of Resentment: Understand that holding a grudge to the detriment of your relationship with other people is you doing more harm to yourself than anything else. Forgiveness is not forgetting or entertaining the harm done, rather, it is choosing to focus on the future without bitterness.

Forgive Yourself: Mistakes are a part of growth. Show compassion to yourself by forgiving yourself, and draw lessons from your failures to improve.

Focus on Moving Forward: Channel your energy towards positive change rather than overthinking the past.
